“Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, I love money.” Jackie Mason
Jackie is spot on, which is why we decided to open with the American stand-up comedian’s quote in today’s blog! As the title already informed you, our post is all about providing you with enough inspiration to save money and get your head above the proverbial water.
However, no two person’s financial situation is exactly alike. Some might need help with expensive medical bills right now, while others are looking to take that next step to become homeowners instead of perennial renters (who wants to pay someone else’s mortgage, anyway?).
If you are in need of fast cash in Texas, we’d recommend looking into our payday lending options. Who knows? Maybe that person could be you. Keep reading if you want to change your mindset about your finances!

“On what he’s spent the most money on: In the ’70s it was skateboards, in the ’80s it was drugs, in the ’90s it was art, and now it’s my family.” – Anthony Kiedis Maxim
Anthony Kiedis Maxim is a man who has experienced quite a bit in his tenure as an American rock star. He is one who knows through experience that money can’t buy you happiness. That being said, it remains the platform by which you can enjoy the truly important things in life, such as skateboards…err…we mean family!
“The habit of saving is itself an education; it fosters every virtue, teaches self-denial, cultivates the sense of order, trains to forethought, and so broadens the mind.” – T.T. Munger
Let’s be clear — we aren’t in the business of judging people for their financial situation. That would be silly, since so often dire circumstances are attributable to circumstances beyond our control. It might be an unexpected health issue, a car breaking down out of nowhere, or a relative in desperate need of financial assistance. Regardless of the situation and what has already happened, you can only control the present in terms of how it will affect your future. That means you can start saving for that rainy day — because they do happen.
“Financial peace isn’t the acquisition of stuff. It’s learning to live on less than you make, so you can give money back and have money to invest. You can’t win until you do this.” – Dave Ramsey
Fun fact about us: we love Dave Ramsey and his down-to-earth, no-nonsense approach to budgeting and financial planning. Dave, as usual, is exactly right. If you are having trouble figuring out where all of your money is going, look at your spending habits and trim the fat. Do you have subscriptions you don’t need? Do you eat out too much? It’s not a comfortable exercise, but it’s a necessary one if you want to accomplish your goals.
“Don’t tell me what you value, show me your budget, and I’ll tell you what you value.” – Joe Biden
The former Vice President’s words tie in nicely with Mr. Ramsey. Follow your spending habits if you are looking for clues as to where you could save money.
“Before you speak, listen. Before you write, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you invest, investigate. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try. Before you retire, save. Before you die, give.” – William A. Ward
Granted, this one is a bit more general, but this is a motivational blog for crying out loud! So get inspired!
“What we really want to do is what we are really meant to do. When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play to us.” – Julia Cameron
Julia makes a great point here. While learning how to budget and reduce your expenditures is all well and good (and necessary), living minimally is not the ultimate goal here. Perhaps you are like many of us and have gotten so overwhelmed by life happening that you’ve forgotten what it is that really makes your heart sing! If you can find something that you love doing and can make good money doing it, there’s your ticket.
We hope you can find yours. And, if you happen to be in need of a payday loan in the meantime, don’t hesitate to give us a call at Your Loan Depot! We’d love to hear from you.
